Welcome to stay at Harris

Harris is a dramatic island in the Outer Hebrides that boasts some of the best beaches in Scotland. Harris is in fact part of one island, joined with Lewis to the north. Harris itself is divided into North and South Harris, by a narrow isthmus.
The mountains of North Harris contrast with the rolling moors and lochans of the north of Lewis, while South Harris boasts some of the best beaches in the country, such as Luskentyre, Scarista and Northton beaches backed by the shell-sand pasture known as machair where late spring and summer flowers create vivid colours and set the scene for much of the west coast of the island.

Gannet and Fulmar Cottage are two very luxurious self catering cottages with spectacular beach views. These cater for families up to 5 persons, two bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms, one with a Jacuzzi, Sauna and Steamshower, the other with a steamshower , toilet and washbasin each on their own ¼ acre plot and private parking.

We also have another cottage with a limited beach view, situated in the tiny village of Northton. This is Grandfathers House, a lovely cosy cottage with a romantic atmosphere which used to be an old black house, built in 1901. GFH caters for one couple (an extra bed and/or cot can be provided). Northton is situated at the centre of a site of outstanding scenic beauty and vast golden sandy beaches. Welcome to those seeking tranquillity, wildlife and outdoor activities, while at the same time offering all modern comfort, luxury and the latest technology.
