HARRIS OUTDOOR ADVENTURE : Sailing On The Sound of Harris

Treat the family, a group of friends or yourselves to a great day out on this fun sailing trip aboard the; FLYING DUTCHMAN. With a real "hands-on" focus everyone has the opportunity to get involved, with the chance to try your hand at steering the boat, adjusting the sails whilst enjoying the thrill of sailing.

Our Skipper will ensure there is lots of action throughout the trip and that there is something for everyone.
When you arrive the Skipper will give a safety brief and kits everyone up in lifejackets or floatation suits.
It will be a great day of sailing on the Sound of Harris around the small islands. Depending on the wind and tide a picnic and walk on one of the lone Isles of Ensay or Killigray might be an option. Seals could be seen sunbathing on the rocks and Gannets and Cormorants flying over the mast. If you like we can do some fishing for tea.
With our professional crew on hand to guide you through getting the most out of this 25ft. Drascombe Gig, a day on board the FD is the perfect way to spend your time doing something you can all enjoy!

Where we sail: On The Sound of Harris from Leverburgh Pier.
We meet at either the Pier or at the Outdoor Centre, Unit 1, Industrial Est., Leverburgh, Isle of Harris.
Boat: 25 ft Drascombe Gig, open sailing boat, Maximum participants: 5
